On the 1st Day of Christmas My Everlasting Father Gave to Me My Savior in a Manger

It was a cold, dark night with no room in the inn,
For the whole town was filled to the brim.
Sent from above, with a plan the small King came down,
Born in a most humble place, and not wearing a crown.
He came to bridge the gulf created by sin,
making a way for a relationship with God, and new life to begin.
You see, Jesus is the best gift ever received,
As He came to save all who did, do, and will believe.
From a baby in a manger, then a teacher in the street,
to our Savior on the cross, He’s the best you’ll ever meet.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16

On the 2nd Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 2 Parents Unexpected

Mary and Joseph were not yet married.
The angel appeared and Mary was told who she carried.
Surprised, nervous, she said “I am the Lord’s servant,”
Though looked down upon, and Joseph’s reaction not quite so fervent.,
She was thankful Joseph stood by her side,
For it would be a quite bumpy ride.
Mary was favored by God, and said yes to what was ahead.
She would give birth in a stable, and kiss the Lord’s sweet  forehead.
Maybe exasperated at times, she never foresaw the pain He’d face.
The worst day of her life, what He’d do for the worlds sin to erase.
For three long days she’d grieve, then oh the joy she’d know
For her baby’s face would rise, and once again show.

“She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from
their sins…and they will call him Immanuel (which means God with us).” - Matthew 1:21-23

On the 3rd Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 3 Wisemen From Afar

Bowing before with frankincense, myrrh, and gold,
Amazed at the gift sent for all the world to behold.
A gift more priceless than any we could give,
The magi filled with wonder none could ever relive.
Christmas is more about the gifts that can’t be seen,
And sometimes it is better to give than receive.
God sent down His son, knowing what was to come.
The most painful sacrifice, added up to the greatest sum,
For this gift came to save all who did, do, and will believe
It is a gift that once gained, great peace will be achieved.

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him gifts of frankincense, gold, and myrrh. - Matthew 2:11

On the 4th Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 4 Shepherds Watching

It was just another cold, dark, silent night,
With flocks of sheep in the shepherds sight,
When all of a sudden to the shepherds fright,
Appeared a Heavenly host of angels shining bright.
They brought good news of great joy,
Satisfying their curiosity was the shepherds new ploy,
So they set off to Bethlehem to see for themselves
What was the good news meant for all including themselves?
Amazed, the shepherds told all they saw,
For soon the whole world would be in awe.
“Glory to God in the highest Heaven, and on earth peace to

those on whom his favor rests.” - Luke 2:14

On the 5th Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 5 Shining Stars

The Magi followed the bright golden star,
As it led them from a land afar.
Better than a detailed map,
Follow it, and you’ll be there in a snap.
God’s light shone bright,
Leading to the most beautiful sight.
Though it might have been easier to take flight,
Following God’s plan soon felt oh so right.

Think about: What’s the craziest/scariest thing you’ve ever done? Wish you would’ve done? Have yet to do?

“After they heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” - Matthew 2:9-10

On the 6th Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 6 Horses Pulling Sleighs

Far and wide the good word has spread.
All the world shall know His name, connected by a thread.
Tell those near and far
Those who have bruise, chain, and scar.
Portray Jesus in daily life,
And you may save many from their strife.
There is power in the name of Jesus,
Faith in His name shall break the chains, saving each of us.
Be part of the army rising up,
Be part of the light giving cheer to lift others up.

Challenge: Think of one simple way to give cheer or lift someone up.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

On the 7th Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 7 Elves a Working

The spirit of Santa lives in all who give to others,
The spirit of the elf in all done to help our brothers.
While the elves hammer away,
They make, build, and prepare the sleigh.
All this work is done with joy in their heart,
For the one who provided and gave them their start.
This Christmas, do your work with love,
Let the hope of the Lord fill you with joy from above.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Colossians 3:17

On the 8th day of Christmas my Savior Gave to Me An 8 Snowperson Family

Though family may sometimes tease and mock,
You’d never truly wish to be part of another flock.
So don’t melt your family with the heat of your anger,
Nor freeze them too much and be a stranger.
You’d miss them, you know it’s true.
Then your Christmas would be oh so blue.
So let your family and friends know they are dear,
This Christmas season and every day of the year.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

On the 9th Day of Christmas, My Savior Gave to Me 9 Unique Snowflakes

Though it doesn’t snow everywhere,
Here, there are dreams of white Christmas cheer.
For each flake and person, were designed by one hand.
Each one beautiful, sporting its own brand.
We were created in God’s image, so take a stand,
And be yourself all over the land.
For there is nothing to fear,
When your creator makes who you are so very clear.
Our personalities, dreams, and desires, long awaited
All by Him were specifically fated.

Challenge: Think about what makes you who you are?

“So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them.” Genesis 1:27

On the 10th day of Christmas my Savior gave to me 10 shiny ornaments

The Christmas tree represents our everlasting life,
With God in your heart joy will overtake the strife.
Each ornament represents the true meaning
Some obvious, though others might take some gleaning.

Answer the following riddles:
1. I symbolize the blood of Jesus Christ washing away sins and making people as white as snow. What am I?
2. I represent everlasting life. What am I?
3. I symbolize lighting a path and guiding the way. What am I?
4. I symbolize being created by God, uniquely, and in His image. What am I?
5. I am a messenger sent from above. What am I.

“The word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” - John 1:14

Challenge: What is your favorite ornament to hang on your tree?

1. Candy cane, 2. tree, 3. star, 4. snowflake, 5. angel

On the 11th Day of Christmas, My Savior Gave to Me 11 Days to Countdown.

As a child, most made Christmas countdowns in school
Every day gone by was new hope for a present so cool.
Noah probably counted the days until the rain ended,
The Israelites, until their wandering was no longer extended,
The lame until he could walk, the deaf until he could hear,
The father of the prodigal son till he held who was dear.
Jesus couldn’t wait to rise and save those who believe.
These countdowns provide hope even for the grieved.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6

Challenge - Think about what you find hardest to be patient about. Your best advice on patience?

On the 12th Day of Christmas My Savior Gave to Me 12 Sheep A Leaping

In December, Christmas cheer is not required
And this season may make you feel oh so tired,
But the joy and hope that come from the Lord,
Should strike an all year long chord.
Should be more everlasting than one month a year,
As you treasure the one who holds you most dear.
No matter how old you've grown,
No matter what goes right or when all seems so wrong.
May the desire to leap and sing remain,
As you praise God with dancing and musical strain.

"Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre." - Psalm 149:3

Challenge: What brings you joy?
